Arcade Fire The Hottest Rockers

In a recent interview with Arcade Fire they spotlighted back on their big year and revealed a particular highlight of 2010:Robert Hilburn made a comparison to The Beatles made.

Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler to liken the fervor for the band’s well-received third album The Suburbs to the kind of anticipation a new Beatles album once inspired.

The former Los Angeles Times contributor e-mailed said that Hilburn wrote him an email as the record was coming out, and he was like, ‘Guys, it kind of feels like a Beatles album is coming out,” said Butler. “There’s something electric in the air."

Arcade Fire Stand Up Against The Digital Age

Despite the rise in digital formats Arcade Fire believe that albums can last in the music industry revealed by the band member.

'The Suburbs'was named Gigwise's album of 2010,the band member said that they will continue to bring music in the same pattern.

"I hope that something pure can last. A lot of things like that end up being memos. I keep trying to remember the good things that get lost along the way and trying to apply those lessons to the way the world actually is,'' frontman Win Butler told The Scotsman.

He added: ''I've been moved by albums a lot more than I've been moved by singles and we're an album band. I'm not going to stop making albums because of some fad of digital distribution.''

Meanwhile, Arcade Fire will join The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys at next year's Benicassim festival in Spain.

Arcade Fire give setlist clues ahead of UK and Ireland tour

Fans heading to Arcade Fire's UK and Ireland tour dates from Wednesday (December 1) have been given a hint as to what songs the band will play.

The collective play eight gigs, calling at venues in London, Dublin, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Cardiff.

Recent gigs at Lyon's Halle Tony Garnier (November 26) and Munich's Zenith (28) have seen them play a set featuring material from across their career, though with more tracks coming from their latest album 'The Suburbs'. As is traditional, the band have been ending their gigs with 'Wake Up'.

Arcade Fire kick off their UK and Ireland tour on Wednesday at London's O2 Arena.

Arcade Fire Tap Spike Jonze

Arcade Fire have now reunite with director Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Where the Wild Things Are), "The Suburbs," their single music video available December 20, eerily to life.The band previously worked with Jonze when he commissioned a new version of their song "Wake Up" for his 2009 film Where the Wild Things Are.

Last spring Jonze told MTV that he wanted "The Suburbs" video to play out like a short film. Captured in the suburbs of Austin, Texas, the music video features a group of bored teenagers riding bikes, shooting off BB guns, getting into trouble and eventually getting in over their heads.

"It was great just hanging out with these 15-year-olds for a week and writing down all the funny things they said," singer Win Butler told Pitchfork.com. "It was cool to revert to being a 15-year-old for a little while."

Over the past few decade SNL has brought us plenty of great musical performances and last Saturday’s was no exception as Arcade Fire deliver a blissful performance and hit the stage at 30 Rock.With host Scarlett Johansson introducing them, the band played through hits off their latest album, The Suburbs.

He started with “We Used to Wait” with Win Butler at the helm,and the stage could not contain him or his feelings The singer took the microphone, and first went and stared down the camera in front of the stage. He then went and stood on an empty chair in the front row -- all the while never missing a beat. For those who say that indie music lacks any feeling or soul, here is exhibit one to dismiss that myth.

They went on to play “Sprawling II (Mountains over Mountains)” with Regine taking over singing duties. But the best moment of the whole evening may have been the digital short that they were a part of.

Arcade Fire Planning To Wirte A New Album

Arcade fire bandmate Will Butler has unveil that they are hoping to start work on their next album very soon if they can't get over the problem of writing and touring at the same time.

"We've never successfully written or done anything really in a middle of a touring cycle (but this time we'll try),We'll definitely be touring next Spring - the weather is be nicer for driving around then than in the winter. We're going to experiment this winter. We're not quite sure what we're doing in February, but January and March we'll probably be off" said Butler

He further added that "We're going to see if we can maybe get into a different rhythm besides the tour, tour, tour, rest, rest, rest, tour, tour, tour, rest, rest, rest. We're going to see if we can intertwine them a little bit".

Arcade Fire amazing at the shrine

Arcade Fire did one spectacular evening at the shrine stadium and got a lot of wows from the audience of the Shrine Auditorium. People were continuously saying once more once more for each song of Arcade Fire. It was a wonderful night.

Arcade Fire opened a sold out two night stand at the Shrine Auditorium in carry of the latest launch The Suburbs Thursday night. Some proceeds from the shows benefit Partners In Health.
